Voni Hall Pottle
“The peace and joy you will receive from God can remove the pain and suffering from unjust accusations from others, the enemy, or even your own heart.” Voni Pottle, excerpt from the book.
About us
VONI'S PLANS Voni Pottle is a 91-year-old widow who is still full of life. She was born in Oregon and raised on a farm. As a child, her dreams were to marry a farmer and have three children, 3 years apart. She never wanted to be a pastor's wife or live outside the United States. She loved the Lord and never considered divorce as an option in her life.
Livros que contam sua história e experiência com Deus.
GOD'S PLANS Voni lived in Brazil for more than 50 years and has dual citizenship in the USA and Brazil. She is bilingual and wants to learn Spanish. (We'll see if she can!) Voni is a mother, teacher, counselor, translator and author. She is proud of her six children, 18 grandchildren and a multitude of great-grandchildren who live on different continents. She has experienced the pains of loss (as her husband of 37 years left her and her children after becoming involved with other women) and the struggle and joys of hope (which she shares here in her book Choosing to Fly).
As you can see, God's plans for Voni were and are totally different from what she told God she wanted! Could this also be true in her life? So grab a cup of coffee, sit down with Choosing to Fly, and see what new plans the Lord might have for you?
I remember my friend, Pastor Ted Roberts, telling me that as a boy he would sit in the hills of California and watch the eagles. When huge thunderclouds filled the sky, most birds headed for the protection of their nests. Not so with eagles! Instead of running away, they climbed up to meet the clouds. So they circled and waited before diving into the storm. Pushed upwards by the violent winds, harnessing the power of the storm, they flew free!
My motivation for writing was a desperate quest for personal survival. Before compiling this first book, I studied the Word and talked to God. I latched onto this verse from Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not get tired.
And I wanted to FLY!
"Inspirational book filled with wisdom and practical life advice from someone with a lot of life experience. Highly recommend..."
